I was born in a snowy winter's day in February, 1979, in Lubbock Texas. I don't remember much about Lubbock - we moved less than a year to what i'd consider my home - where i was raised and grew up, a tiny place called Houston, TX. I lived in a teeny, tiny apartment right across from the medical center. It was a small place, but the complex had a policy of putting families with children in the same tiny block. All of the kids in the complex lived in the same block, and we basically became a gang of roaming kids - faces muddy, cuts, scrapes, and bruises all over our body at all times, always wrestling, and playing - running through bushes, playing hide and seek (hiding in weird places like on top of the car garage) and playing childhood favorites like spread eagle (a take on butt's up, or wall ball, only instead of tagging the guy on the ass, you'd have to spread your legs and face forward so someone could tag you in the junk). My entire world existed in that small block (and it was small then, but even smaller the last time i visited it). I learned how to walk, how to tie my shoes, how to bike, how to fly a kite, and everything else. And I also met a my hero, Nathan Savage, who I am learning, influenced me more deeply and in more ways than i would have imagined back then. But, that, Oh Reader, is Another Story.
